Michael Wach graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Culture and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology with a diploma in Process Piping Drafting. He has since worked as a drafter and designer in the mechanical engineering field at Remedy Engineering collaborating with architects on projects such as the Calgary West LRT, the Calgary Centennial Planetarium as well as many elementary and high schools in and around Calgary. 

Michael studied with street photographer Maciej Dakowicz and has also assisted world renowned Danish architectural photographer Adam Mørk in shooting the Rocky Ridge Recreation Centre in Calgary as well as the NAIT Productivity and Innovation Centre in Edmonton. He was chosen by several major Canadian architects to portray their work including GEC Architecture, S2 Architecture and Group2 Architecture & Interior Design.
